NOTICE What's New: If you're an eBay user, be aware that someone is still using the eBay and PayPal logos and names in an attempt to gain personal information about your account and credit card information. And they're using every trick in the book, such as promotions, notifications that you're about to be kicked off eBay, that you’ve sent money to someone from your PayPal account, and etc. If you fell for it you need to immediately change your password and notify your credit card company. EBay states that they will not send email out to verify or upgrade this information. If you got one, Please email it to spoof@eBay.com. They will attempt to track down the thief. A good way to tell if it's a phony, which it will be, is to place your pointer over the link they give you and read their real address, it won't be eBay, and even if it has eBay in the link, it's not going to them. The best bet is to just forward it to spoof@ebay.com and they'll come right back to you and tell you, "it's a phony." |
